We’ve partnered with the Account Planning Group and have a couple of events upcoming we wanted to let you know about.
The APG is a brilliant organisation and one that has played a big role in my career as a Strategist over the years.
We’ve been chatting to them about how we can work together to help the Planning and Strategy community.
Firstly:
“What the fuck is going on? The Planner’s Cut.”
On Tuesday 27th June (next week) at 5:30pm, Richard and I will be delivering a version of the Saatchi & Saatchi state of the nation research we partnered on recently.
We’ll be sharing a little ‘behind the scenes’ on the methodology, what we found out, and crucially - some implications for the Planning and Strategy community.
It’s a virtual event so anyone can attend, and we agreed with the APG to keep the cost as low as possible for anyone who attends. It’s only £5 (+VAT).
Secondly:
From Slides to Sofas.
How Planners can get out from behind their desks, and get into the living rooms of people all around the country.
On August 11th, I’ll be running some training in London with the APG. You can find out more here.
Aimed at Planners and Strategists, it's a half-day training session, blending presentation, discussion and group exercises and covers three areas:
Observing & engaging: Creating the conditions for personal truths to be shared.
Capturing their reality: Looking beyond our biases and capturing the lives of participants.
Finding the story: Reflecting on the evidence and developing themes.
It’s a product we’ve delivered to a few different agencies already and it is really benefitting them - with some lovely testimonials:
"It massively accelerated my proficiency as a qual researcher" - Senior Planner.
"It really opened my eyes to where I found the most passion in planning. Mark's mission for Meet the 85% is inspiring, granting me the courage and skillset to pursue the right role for me. Now, plans for an insights role within my agency are underway" - Junior Planner
Running it with the APG means we can get Planners in the room from different agencies at the same time, making it more cost effective for you.
It's a trial of sorts, so if it proves valuable to people I'm sure we can run it again if there's a need. If not, we won't!
(And of course if you want the training specific to your agency drop us a line).
